Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County (BGCSC) is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support and implement programs for youth ages 5–18. Under the Unit Director, you will help ensure safe, engaging activities that promote academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character.

Responsibilities include planning activities, managing supplies, supervising youth, and delivering snacks with food safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ years old; 18+ preferred for DCYF supervision
• High school diploma, GED, or active enrollment preferred
• Must remain positive and organized in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to uphold BGCSC values: fun, respect, integrity, community, acceptance
• Prior experience with youth or youth development preferred
• Flexibility for varying hours based on seasonal needs
• Pass a drug test upon hire
• Pass a background check per BGCSC standards and licensing requirements
• Ability to motivate youth and guide positive behavior
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification or ability to obtain upon hire

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Director in planning activities to foster belonging
• Assist with supplies and equipment management
• Engage youth in sports, STEM, arts and crafts
• Supervise youth per WA DCYF and BGCSC standards
• Maintain active supervision for all members
• Prepare snacks following food safety practices
• Support youth with social-emotional learning and trauma-informed approaches
• Work with diverse youth populations
• Ensure safety and engagement in all activities and BGCSC policies
• Maintain club cleanliness and organize spaces and belongings
• Maintain equipment and supplies
• Complete required trainings and professional development
• Perform other duties as assigned by Unit Director
