Job summary

Valley Youth House in Philadelphia is seeking a Youth Designated Access Point (YDAP) Supervisor to lead direct service staff and foster a positive youth development environment in a trauma-informed setting.

The role monitors service delivery and safety, manages the program budget, prepares monthly reports, and coordinates housing assessments, drop-in programming, shelter referrals, and housing program collaboration, with evening/weekend hours as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • 5-7 years experience with adolescent youth and young adults.
  • Trauma-informed and healing-centered care practices.
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends based on program needs.
  • Light/medium work including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Provide regular supervised direction to direct service staff fostering a positive youth development environment.
  • Monitor quality of service delivery and safety per agency standards and contracts.
  • Prepare a monthly statistical report for project management and funder databases.
  • Manage the program budget and support fiscal decisions by the direct service team.
  • Support day-to-day operations including coordinating food service, drop-in programming, housing assessments, and referrals to housing programs.

Pay Rate:($70k - $78k)

Essential Functions of the YDAP Supervisor:

  • To provide regular scheduled high-quality direction and supervision to direct service staff fostering a positive youth/human development environment.
  • To monitor and ensure quality service delivery and safety in compliance with Valley Youth House standards of practice, program regulations, funding contracts, or other service agreements including mobile housing assessments and housing program intakes.
  • To prepare a monthly statistical report for review by project management staff, to ensure that required data is input into all required funder databases and submit required program reports.
  • Understand and manage program budget; ensure responsible fiscal decision-making by the direct service team members.
  • To support the day-to-day operations of the Drop and the Youth Designated Access point including coordinating food service, drop in programming, housing assessments, shelter referrals, and coordination with housing programs.

Minimum Qualifications for the YDAP Supervisor:

  • A High school diploma.
  • 5-7 years of experience working with adolescent youth and young adults
  • Strong background in applying trauma-informed and healing-centered care practices.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
  • They shall never have been convicted of any child abuse offense.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record
  • They shall be able to work untraditional hours including nights and weekends based on the needs of the program operations.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. X Occasionally
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. X Occasionally
  • Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds. X Occasionally
