Job summary

Youth Villages seeks a Peer Support Specialist to provide youth- and family-centered peer support after mental health crises. You will engage youth and caregivers, mentor families, connect them with community and clinical resources, and deliver structured parent education workshops.

The role involves collaboration with care teams, documentation in EMR, and participation in regular meetings and professional development. Schedule is flexible and involves community-based work.

Qualifications

• A CFSS, CPRS, or CYAPSS certification path is described and training is required.
• Ability to engage youths and families with empathy and cultural sensitivity.
• Experience navigating child-serving systems and collaboration with clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide youth- and family-centered peer support during and after crises.
• Coach and mentor youth and caregivers, linking to community and clinical resources.
• Deliver parent education workshops and support collaboration with family teams.
• Complete documentation in an EMR system and participate in regular meetings.
