Delaware Guidance Services for Children and Youth, Inc. is seeking a Youth Peer Support Specialist to provide peer mentoring, counseling, and advocacy for youth in the MRSS program during crises, under supervision of the Crisis Clinical Coordinator.

The role emphasizes engagement, advocacy, and facilitating connections to community supports. Youth with lived experience, aged 18-24, will be supported through crisis risk assessment and ongoing mentoring, with documentation from intake to discharge

Qualificações

• Lived experience as a youth who experienced support due to behavioral health needs.
• Young Adult ages 18-24 years old.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Provide individual peer support and counseling.
• Conduct routine home visits to monitor youth progress.
• Document mentoring services accurately from intake to discharge.
• Coordinate with DPBHS and MRSS teams to support stabilization.
• Promote goal-directed, team-oriented services.
