Job summary

Darke County Recovery Services in the United States seeks a Youth Counselor for Mobile Response & Stabilization Services (MRSS). You will provide crisis assessment/intervention, safety planning, and linkage to services for youth and families in crisis.

Travelling to deliver brief interventions and ongoing assessment up to 6 weeks, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to maximize prevention and reduce trauma in youth and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) licensure.
• Have/willing to get their NPI and Ohio Medicaid numbers (we will assist).
• Have and maintain an excellent driving record.
• 2 years’ experience working in the behavioral healthcare field.

Responsibilities

• Dedicated crisis counselor for youth and families in crisis.
• Travel to provide crisis assessment/intervention, safety planning, and follow up care.
• Provide brief intervention along with ongoing assessment and linkage to services and needs up to 6 weeks.
• Work with a team of counselors/social workers, case managers, peer support specialist and the Director to support prevention, sustainability, and reduce trauma.
• Be a member of the newest and most valued service line for youth as we increase awareness and bring hope to the Crisis Continuum.
