Job summary

Coleman Health Services in Ohio seeks a Youth Counselor for Mobile Response & Stabilization Services to provide crisis intervention and counseling to youth and families in Logan and Champaign Counties. You will travel to community settings and work within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, LPC/LSW licensure or willingness to obtain, a valid driving record, and 2 years in behavioral health. The schedule is Tue–Fri, 10am–8pm, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) licensure required.
• Have/willing to get their NPI and Ohio Medicaid numbers with assistance.
• At least 2 years' experience in behavioral healthcare.
• Independent licensure (LPCC, LISW) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dedicated crisis counselor for youth and families in crisis.
• Travel throughout Logan and Champaign Counties to provide crisis assessment/intervention, safety planning, and follow up care.
• Provide brief intervention along with ongoing assessment and linkage to services and needs up to 6 weeks.
• Work with a team of counselors/social workers, case managers, peer support specialists and the Director to provide prevention, sustainability, and reduce trauma in youth and their family members.
• Be a member of the newest service line for youth and increase awareness of the Crisis Continuum of Care in Logan and Champaign counties.
