Job summary

Recovery and Wellness Centers of Midwest Ohio seeks a Youth Counselor for Mobile Response & Stabilization Services (MRSS). You will assess crises, plan safety, intervene, and coordinate ongoing linkage to services for youth and families across communities.

Join a multidisciplinary team; travel to crisis sites and work to reduce trauma while supporting a continuum of care through up to six weeks of follow-up services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• LPC or LSW licensure required.
• Have/willing to get NPI and Ohio Medicaid numbers; assistance provided.
• Must have and maintain an excellent driving record.
• 2 years’ experience in behavioral healthcare; youth/family experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis assessment/intervention and safety planning for youth and families in crisis.
• Provide brief intervention with ongoing assessment and linkage to services up to 6 weeks.
• Collaborate with a team of counselors/social workers/case managers and director.
• Travel to crisis sites to perform interventions.
• Contribute to prevention, sustainability, and trauma reduction efforts.
