Job summary

Brighter Transition YTC seeks Youth Counselors to provide direct supervision to adolescents and serve as role models. The campus is located 7 miles west of Sioux Falls, SD, with a year-round academic program and QRTP, serving male youth 16-21 who have completed a long-term residential program.

The role covers safety, daily living supervision, and activities on and off campus, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401K, paid time off, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and daily pay

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, accountability and security of campus
• Teach, coach and supervise students in activities of daily living including morning, bedtime and overnight procedures, hygiene and cleanliness, housekeeping, meals, intramurals, sports, academics, and extracurricular activities both on and off campus
• Observe the peer culture for patterns of behavior indicating progress or regression in the program
• Recognize escalating behaviors and intervene at the appropriate level to ensure safety and security
