Job summary

Brighter Transition YTC in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, seeks Youth Counselors to provide direct supervision to adolescents and to serve as role models, offering support and structure to residents in care. Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, accountability and security of campus.
• Teach, coach and supervise students in activities of daily living including morning, bedtime and overnight procedures, hygiene and cleanliness, housekeeping, meals, intramurals, sports, academics, and extracurricular activities on and off campus.
• Observe the peer culture for patterns of behavior indicating progress or regression in the program.
• Recognize escalating behaviors and intervene to ensure safety and security.
