Job Title: Residential Youth Counselor (Direct Care Support Youth Professional)

Reports To: Program Director

Pay Rate: up to $19.00/hr

Plymouth is ideally situated just off Route 93, nestled in the White Mountains. Our program serves adolescent males in residential treatment, focusing on supporting mental and behavioral health needs.

Our programming offers youth development services, fostering meaningful relationships, personal growth, and potential realization. As a Youth Residential Counselor, you will be central to making this mission a reality, with opportunities for professional growth and impactful work.

Mission: To provide a caring, safe therapeutic environment where students can grow, learn self-regulation, and develop confidence and skills.

Youth Counselor Summary: Your role involves building relationships, supporting residents' development, and contributing to their success and well-being.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and mentoring students, modeling appropriate behavior, and crisis management.
  • Implementing social and recreational activities.
  • Providing care and psychosocial education per individual treatment plans.
  • Supporting daily living skills, recreation, and reintegration efforts.
  • Developing social, interpersonal, and coping skills.
  • Serving as a positive role model and emotional support during crises.
  • Planning routines, documenting services, and participating in team meetings.
  • Engaging in professional development and growth opportunities.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree, or 60 college credits.
  • OR 2 years of full-time experience working with children.
  • OR equivalent credits/experience or 7 years parenting experience.

  • Valid driver's license preferred; 21+ years old.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S., background checks required.
