Job summary

Central Lincoln County YMCA in Maine is seeking an enthusiastic instructor to teach cheer and tumbling for children aged 2–13 starting in November. You will collaborate with the Department Director to promote healthy living, youth development, and community engagement in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include program planning, equipment setup, supervising participants, recruiting volunteers, and maintaining attendance. CPR/First Aid certification is required within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
• CPR and First Aid certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Team player with superb interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
• Self-starter with ability to multitask and adapt quickly.
• General computer skills and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Teaches cheer and tumbling programs on weekdays and Saturdays for children 2-13 starting in November.
• Promotes healthy living, social responsibility, and youth development with the Department Director.
• Creates and executes campaigns, programs, and curriculum for YMCA advancement while ensuring safety and standards.
• Collaborates with staff, prepares for programs, sets up equipment, and delivers quality activities.
• Recruits and coordinates volunteers to ensure quality instruction and YMCA standards.
