Job summary

Central Lincoln County YMCA seeks staff to teach cheer and tumbling for children 2-13, starting in November. This role involves promoting healthy living, social responsibility, and youth development, while maintaining safe, high-quality programming.

You will collaborate with the Department Director to plan campaigns and curriculum, supervise participants, recruit volunteers, and ensure a welcoming environment that supports confidence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Team player with superb interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• General computer skills and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Teaches cheer and tumbling programs on weekdays and/or Saturdays for children ages 2-13 starting in November.
• Promotes healthy living, social responsibility, and youth development in partnership with the Department Director.
• Develops and executes campaigns, programs, or curriculum while ensuring safety and YMCA standards.
• Collaborates with staff to prep and deliver quality programming in a structured, positive environment.
• Supervises participants, manages group dynamics, and fosters positive social skills.
• Prepares for programs by setting up equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functioning equipment.
• Builds relationships with staff, participants, and community partners and connects them to the YMCA.
• Promotes YMCA programs and recruits new participants; coordinates volunteers for instruction quality.
