Job summary

BBYO in Charlotte, NC seeks a Chapter Specialist to work directly with teens (grades 8-12), developing engaging, fun programming and mentoring leaders.

You will coach recruitment, help plan calendars, and analyze chapter data, collaborating with a regional team to grow membership and participation.

This in-person role requires local residency, flexible 5–10 hour weeks, and a passion for teen-driven Jewish community.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 3 years removed from high school.
• In-person role; live within or near Charlotte.
• Chapter-program attendance 2–4x a month.
• Must be able to transport self to events.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
• Fall and spring conventions may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with teens to create impactful, fun programming.
• Coach teens on recruitment and retention strategies to grow chapters.
• Support teens in building chapter calendars and sustainable programming cadence.
• Be present at chapter events, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Track and analyze chapter data to inform strategy.
• Build relationships with members, parents, and community partners.
• Participate as a member of the regional team and share best practices.
• Participate in monthly professional development.
• Other duties as assigned.
