Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking a part-time Child Activity Center Leader at the Crowell Family YMCA in South Pasadena. You will supervise children, plan age-appropriate activities, and build positive relationships with families and staff throughout the program day.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of semester units in child development, human services or related fields.

• Ability to plan and implement child-appropriate activities in a drop-in care setting.

Responsibilities

• Nurture children through purposeful programming that builds achievement and belonging.
• Maintain close visual supervision and organize environment by age and development.
• Follow safety, ADA compliance, and program standards; maintain records and equipment.
• Communicate with supervisors about child development and progress.
• Engage families; recruit volunteers and connect them to YMCA activities.
