Job summary

Allen County War Memorial Coliseum is seeking a Part-Time Cook for the Youth Services Center. The role involves cooking and serving meals for residents and staff, restocking supplies, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.

Responsibilities include documenting meals, preparing snacks twice daily, and ensuring proper food safety practices. Hours are 10:30am–6pm with a minimum of 16 hours per week; ServSafe certification may be pursued within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and more than one year of experience in kitchen or food services.
• Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification within six months of employment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and cooking procedures.
• Ability to use grill, oven, fryers and other kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cook and serve meals, including sides and salads, for residents and staff.
• Restock shelves and rotate stock.
• Wash, dry, and put away dishes.
• Sweep and mop floors and rubber matting.
• Wash all equipment including grill, deep fryer, and baskets.
• Document meals for tracking purposes.
• Prepare and distribute snacks twice daily.
• Separate trash and recyclables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
