Job summary

Comprehensive Community Action Program in Cranston, RI is seeking a dedicated Youth Center Coordinator to manage the Skill / Youth Center operations, supervise staff, and ensure program milestones are met. You will maintain records, support grant reporting, and engage youth aged 14-24 in community settings.

Responsibilities include scheduling, staff training, monthly progress reporting, and liaison with schools and partners.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor’s degree required.
• Three years of experience serving in school or youth organizations.
• Experience working with inner city youth, human relations, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google platforms.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Provide/maintain all required immunizations and/or vaccinations.
• Complete all required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the youth center while providing exceptional customer service to youth ages 14-24.
• Track and monitor grant mandated enrollment progress and outcomes, adhering to program standards.
• Coordinate employee schedules, ensuring adequate coverage.
• Train all new hired staff in line with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare and submit monthly progress reports.
• Answer inquiries from potential program partners and incoming youth.
• Develop ways to retain youth (ages 14-24) through motivation and encouragement.
• Enforce and ensure all workplace policies and procedures are being adhered to.
• Conduct staff performance reviews.
• Outreach and network with other youth serving programs and High Schools.
