Job summary

Cocoon House's Snohomish Young Adult Housing (SYAH) program provides transitional housing and rapid rehousing support to young adults. The Employment & Education Case Manager will work directly with participants to identify and pursue employment and education opportunities aligned with their needs, addressing barriers to housing and employment while fostering growth and self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience working with young adults experiencing homelessness or similar populations.
• Strong relationship-building skills, empathy, respect for diverse backgrounds.
• Professional competency in organization, time management, teamwork, and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Identify viable educational and career goals of participants based on their desires and interests.
• Assist youth in finding employment and education, including intensive job search support.
• Improve income levels for all program participants.
• Conduct outreach to potential employers in Snohomish County for low-barrier opportunities.
• Input accurate data and case notes after meetings with clients.
• Assist housing staff with stability needs as necessary.
• Lead workshops and field trips to gain job skills and experience.
• Coordinate the Young Adult Housing Internship with Cocoon House staff.
