Job summary

Tri-County Community Action Agency in North Providence, RI is seeking two Career Counselor/Case Managers to help youth ages 14–24 identify meaningful career pathways and achieve education and employment goals.

The successful candidates will conduct intake, develop individualized Career Plans, provide ongoing coaching, and coordinate internal and external referrals to remove barriers and support successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience working with youth and young adults, preferably ages 14–24.
• Experience in case management, career counseling, workforce development, education, human services, or related field preferred.
• Strong interviewing, assessment, documentation, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive participant intake, assessment, and eligibility determination.
• Develop individualized Career Plans aligning skills and goals with education, training, and employment pathways.
• Help participants set measurable academic, career, and financial goals and monitor progress.
• Provide ongoing case management, coaching, encouragement, and accountability to support service plans.
• Identify barriers to success and coordinate interventions through referrals and supportive services.
• Maintain regular contact with participants through all phases and document progress in required databases (EmployRI / LACES).
• Coordinate engagement in program activities like career exploration, labor market research, and job search assistance.
