Job summary

Global Kids, a NYC-based nonprofit, seeks a Job Developer to connect youth with paid and unpaid work experiences and support their professional growth. The role focuses on identifying opportunities, building employer partnerships, and guiding youth through resume, interview prep, and workplace readiness.

As a full-time GK team member, you will engage with DYCD/WIOA-funded programs, track placements, and contribute to program development and data reporting to improve outcomes for youth from

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in workforce development, job placement, or career counseling, preferably with youth from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience with WIOA, DYCD, or similar publicly funded youth programs is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to tailor messages.
• Knowledge of labor market trends and industry requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Commitment to Global Kids' mission and social justice.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure worksites for paid and unpaid youth placements.
• Network with employers and communities to promote GK participants.
• Match participants to opportunities and coach on resumes and interviews.
• Act as liaison between participants and employers for onboarding and support.
• Maintain documentation for placements and reporting per WIOA/DYCD.
• Collaborate on program development to boost employability skills.
• Monitor progress and collect feedback to improve outcomes.
