Job summary

Global Kids in New York, NY, seeks a Workforce Coordinator to implement high-quality workforce services for high-school students under the Learn and Earn program. You will oversee employer engagement, enrollment, and job development, coordinating with DYCD and NYC schools to meet program goals.

The role emphasizes building strong community relationships, ensuring compliance, and delivering workshops on college readiness and life skills. A commitment to equitable youth development is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, social work, non-profit management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience working with middle/high school youth.
• 2–3 years in workforce development, career counseling, or program coordination.
• Experience with DYCD-funded programs or familiarity with WIOA measures is a plus.
• Understanding of NYC social service resources for youth.
• Commitment to antiracist practices in diverse settings.
• Familiarity with placement agencies and job developers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain DYCD contractual obligations, enrollment targets, and documentation.
• Develop relationships with parents, community members, and school staff.
• Support recruitment, registration, enrollment, and participation retention.
• Help youth identify educational and career goals and plans.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and submitted via DYCD Connect.
• Oversee participant orientation and wraparound services.
• Lead weekly workshops on college readiness, life skills, and service learning.
• Manage the database of employment, training, and internship opportunities.
• Perform general administrative duties and maintain records.
