Job summary

Global Kids is seeking a Job Developer in New York, NY to connect youth with meaningful employment opportunities and support their professional growth. The role focuses on identifying worksites, building partnerships with employers, and guiding participants through resume development and interview preparation.

The position is funded through DYCD’s WIOA initiative, emphasizing work experience and career development for eligible youth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years in workforce development or career counseling.
• Experience with WIOA, DYCD or public youth programs preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of labor market trends and industry requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure worksite placements for paid and unpaid experience for WIOA-eligible youth.
• Network with employers, community leaders, and stakeholders to promote GK participants' hiring.
• Provide individualized coaching on resumes, interviews, and workplace readiness.
• Act as liaison between GK participants and employers for placement, onboarding, and support.
• Document placements and collect feedback to evaluate program outcomes.
• Collaborate on program initiatives to enhance employability skills.
