Miami Youth Academy in Miami, FL seeks a Youth Care Worker - Days to provide 24-hour security and supervision for our youth, ensuring safety and supportive development within the program.

Starting at $19 per hour with four hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period, the role offers a rotating schedule and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurance within 90 days, plus a 401(k) match after one year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year direct care experience with at-risk youth or 60 college hours and a driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour security and supervision to youth.
• Monitor and document behaviors, supervise during sports and recreation.
• Mentor youth and support development within the program.

Miami Youth Academy is a moderate risk residential commitment program for male youth aged 14 to 18. This program provides youth comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based substance abuse services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program.

Pay : Starting at $19 per hour. Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period.

What you will do: As a Youth Care Worker - Days you will provide 24-hour security and supervision to always ensure the safety of our Youth. You will monitor and document behaviors, monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time and assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.

To be considered you should: Possess a High School Diploma or GED, have one-year experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position OR 60 hours of college education and possess a Drivers License.
