Upbring seeks a Youth Care Worker to provide direct care, supervision, and a safe, therapeutic environment for Unaccompanied Children. You will ensure ORR licensing compliance and report incidents per policy.

Responsibilities include intake, basic needs, behavior management, crisis intervention, and supporting daily living skills. Strong English/Spanish skills and 21+ age required; 12-hour shift flexibility is expected.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• One year employment experience in child welfare with children/adolescents.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, based on service area/population.
• Must be able to work extended shifts, including 12-hour shifts at least once a week.
• Ability to establish trust and rapport with children within ethical boundaries.
• Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
• Strong verbal communication and ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills, including MS Office and documentation programs.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct intake services for incoming UC, including paperwork, assessments, program overview, and initial placement/orientation.
• Provide basic needs on arrival (meals, clothing, hygiene, shower, bedroom) and assist with routines.
• Supervise UC and enforce behavior limits per treatment plan and ORR standards.
• Perform behavior management and crisis intervention with 1:1 monitoring as directed.
• Maintain safe, organized living space and document interactions per plans and ORR standards.
• Assist UC with social skills, anger management, and daily living skills.
• Accompany UC on outings, ensuring safety during transport to appointments and events.
• Develop positive relationships with management, staff, UC, and volunteers.
• Attend meetings and trainings to meet licensing and ORR standards.
