Job summary

Rite of Passage at Oak Grove Academy in Jasper, Florida is hiring a Youth Care Worker. You will provide 24-hour supervision to ensure youth safety and support youth during activities to foster growth in a therapeutic setting.

Starting pay is $19/hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401k match after 1 year. Shifts are 12 hours on a rotating 10-day schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and 40 hours of college education or one year of youth experience with a Driver's License.
• Demonstrates ability to supervise youth and document behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour supervision to ensure youth safety.
• Monitor and document youth behaviors during activities and recreation.
• Mentor youth as they learn and develop within the program.

What you will do:As a Youth Care Worker, you will provide 24-hour security and supervision to always ensure the safety of our Youth. You will monitor and document behaviors, monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time and assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.

To be considered you should:Possess a High School Diploma or GED and 40 hours of college education OR have one-year experience working with youth in organized group activities and possess a Driver's License.

Schedule: Our Youth Care Worker schedule follows a repeating 10-day rotation: work two days, off three days, work three days, and off two days. The rotation does not restart at the beginning of a new week or pay period. Each full shift is 12 hours with a 1-hour unpaid break = 11 working hours.
