Job summary

One Hope United in Champaign, IL seeks a Youth Care Worker to manage a therapeutic residential setting, promoting emotional, mental, and physical health through structured activities and individualized treatment plans. You will supervise youth, model positive behaviors, and collaborate with the clinical team to support daily living skills.

This role requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and a background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and OHU auto insurance coverage.
• DCF background check and approval to transport youth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise youth according to OHU and DCF policies.
• Maintain a therapeutic home with strengths-based, trauma-informed interactions.
• Teach and model daily living, recreational activities, social skills, and independent living skills per each Youth's Plan.
• Train and maintain TCI or approved behavior modification program certification.
• Follow the Residential Program Plan and daily schedule; manage expectations and consequences.
• Attend meetings and trainings; transport youth to court, school, and medical appointments.
• Complete all documentation timely and accurately; maintain confidentiality.
