Job summary

One Hope United is seeking a Youth Care Worker in Rockford, IL to manage a therapeutic residential living environment and promote emotional, mental, and physical health for youth. The role emphasizes safety, structure, and adherence to each youth’s Individual Treatment Plan.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and background checks. OHU offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• DCF background check and approval to transport youth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise youth in accordance with OHU and DCF policies.
• Maintain a therapeutic home with strengths-based, trauma-informed interactions.
• Teach and model daily living, recreational, social, and emotional regulation skills.
• Maintain certification in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) or equivalent.
• Follow Residential Program Plan and daily schedules and related expectations.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement in service delivery.
• Collaborate with staff in team meetings and trainings.
• Transport clients to mandated hearings, school and medical appointments.
