Job summary

One Hope United in Illinois is seeking a Youth Care Worker for overnight shifts to supervise youth in a residential home and deliver trauma-informed, strength-based care. You’ll train and model daily living skills, run individual and group activities, and align efforts with each youth’s Individual Treatment Plans and OHU Residential Program Plans.

Training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) is provided; position emphasizes growth, with opportunities for increased responsibility and pay

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 21 years old according to contract requirements.
• 1-3 years of human services experience preferred.
• Auto Insurance and Driver's License required.
• Physical Exam/TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for youth in the residential home.
• Train, model, and build skills for the youth.
• Teach daily living, recreational activities, socialization, and independent living.
• Support Youth Treatment Plans and Residential Program Plans.
• Receive training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) behavior modification.
• Be a vital part of the youth’s growth and development.
• Deliver care that is strength-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered.
