YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region seeks a Youth Development Counselor to supervise children in Before & After School Programs and Summer Day Camp. You will foster positive relationships with youth and families, ensure safety, and implement developmentally appropriate activities.

Requirements include a minimum age of 18, 460 hours of relevant experience, and CPR/AED and First Aid certifications. Join a team dedicated to healthy living and youth development in Colorado Springs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum age 18 and at least 460 hours of experience with school-age children.
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certifications required or training provided on hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide a safe, nurturing environment for children and supervise activities.
• Treat children with dignity and respect, promoting inclusion and positive relationships.
• Implement age-appropriate curriculum and maintain policies and safety procedures.
• Complete attendance, incident and injury reports; assist with snacks and program spaces.
• May work outside normal hours for trainings, events, or extended programs.
