Job summary

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a responsible bus driver to transport campers and staff to and from Y Day camps and off-site events. You will teach safety, conduct attendance, and ensure vehicle readiness in compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include daily program tasks, maintaining required certifications, and reporting incidents. Must pass background checks and MVR, and maintain excellent customer service with children and parents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• 1+ years of experience working with children in a structured setting.
• Current First Aid/CPR; must obtain within 30 days of hire and maintain thereafter.
• Pass a criminal background and drug screening; MVR background check required.

Responsibilities

• Teach basic courtesy and safe driving to campers.
• Take attendance and share safety information at trip start.
• Inspect vehicle for safety and compliance with guidelines.
• Follow traffic regulations to ensure passenger safety.
• Carry out daily program tasks related to the role.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid and YMCA certifications as required.
• Report incident/accident paperwork promptly.
