Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a responsible Bus Driver to transport campers and staff to day camp locations and off-site events. You will model safe driving, take attendance, and relay safety information at trip starts.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, 1+ year of child-related experience, and current First Aid/CPR certification with within-30-day recertification as needed. Background and MVR checks are required, with background screening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience working with children in a structured setting.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification; must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Pass a criminal background and drug screening.
• Pass a Motor Vehicles Record check and have own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport campers and staff to and from Day camp locations and off-site events.
• Teach and model safe driving and good conduct for campers.
• Take attendance and communicate safety information at trip starts.
• Inspect vehicles for safety and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain and report incident/accident paperwork and keep certifications current.
