Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a responsible bus driver to transport campers and staff to day camp locations and events. You will teach safety, take attendance, and ensure vehicle safety while adhering to all regulations.

Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 1+ year experience with children, and current First Aid/CPR certifications with CPR maintained throughout employment. A background check and MVR are also required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of experience working with children in a structured setting.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Current First Aid/CPR certifications; must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Pass a criminal background and drug screening.
• Pass a Motor Vehicles Record check and have own transportation.
• CPR certification must be maintained throughoutemployment.
• Pass background checks (including BFTS) and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Transport campers and staff safely to and from Y Day camp locations and events.
• Teach basic courtesy and safe driving to campers.
• Take attendance and provide safety information at trip starts.
• Inspect vehicle for safety and compliance with regulations.
• Follow traffic laws and drive to ensure passenger safety.
• Maintain required certifications and attend staff training.
• Maintain incident/accident paperwork.
