Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a dedicated bus driver to transport campers and staff to day camps and events. You will model safety, supervise riders, and maintain accurate attendance and safety information at each trip start.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of child-care experience, and pass required background checks, drug screening, and MVR. CPR/First Aid certification is required within 30 days of hire, with ongoing training and safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience working with children.
• Pass a criminal background and drug screening.
• Must be 21+ and able to pass MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Teach basic courtesy and safe driving to campers.
• Take attendance and provide safety information at the start of each trip.
• Inspect the vehicle for safety guidelines and regulations.
• Follow all traffic regulations to ensure passenger safety.
• Carry out daily program tasks related to the role.
• Maintain certifications and report incidents as required.
