Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico is seeking a dependable Bus Driver to transport youth to schools, club sites, and field trips, while upholding safety and professionalism. You will conduct vehicle inspections, log transportation data, and coordinate with staff on schedules and changes.

Applicants must hold NM CDL with school bus endorsement, current NM Bus Driver Certification, and a DOT Medical Certificate or ability to obtain. CDL and driving record must be clean.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid New Mexico CDL with school bus endorsement.
• Current School Bus Driver Certification or NM Bus Driver Certification is required.
• DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) or ability to obtain before employment.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport youth to and from schools, clubs, field trips, and events.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during boarding, riding, and exiting.
• Maintain transportation logs and required documentation.
• Communicate schedules, route changes, and transportation needs with staff.
• Keep buses clean, fueled, and ready for daily operation.
• Follow all laws and organizational policies; respond to emergencies prioritizing safety.
• Represent the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico professionally.
