Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain in North Carolina is seeking a licensed bus driver to transport club members between schools, clubs, and preplanned extracurricular events. This role focuses on passenger safety, adherence to all traffic laws, and timely reporting of any issues to the Director of Operations.

You will perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain attendance records, and coordinate basic vehicle upkeep.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid State CDL with passenger endorsement and a clean driving record.
Experience working with children in a youth program.
CPR/First Aid/AED certifications required.
Drive a bus safely and efficiently.
Must be 25 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

Safely transports Club members between schools, clubs and planned events.
Maintains discipline on minibuses or buses to ensure safety of members.
Completes pre- and post- inspection forms daily.
Notifies supervisor of maintenance or safety issues immediately.
Completes and maintains Daily Attendance Checklist for transported members.
Performs basic maintenance like fueling, checking fluids and tires, and arranging oil changes.
Follows field trip procedures and ensures all members are accounted for before leaving locations.
Prepare reports as needed.
Occasionally works weekends/evenings for events.
