Bus DriverBoys & Girls Clubs of Central New MexicoPay: $25.00 per hourPosition SummaryThe Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Bus Driver to transport Club members to and from schools, Club locations, educational field trips, and community activities. The ideal candidate is committed to providing a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for youth while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and vehicle safety.Essential ResponsibilitiesSafely transport youth to and from schools, Club sites, field trips, and special events.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.Ensure all passengers follow safety procedures while entering, exiting, and riding the bus.Maintain accurate transportation logs and required documentation.Communicate effectively with Club staff regarding schedules, route changes, and transportation needs.Keep buses clean, fueled, and ready for daily operation.Follow all federal, state, and local transportation laws, as well as organizational policies.Respond appropriately in emergency situations while prioritizing the safety of passengers.Represent the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico in a professional and courteous manner.Physical RequirementsAbility to safely operate a commercial passenger bus.Ability to assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle when necessary.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.Ability to sit for extended periods while maintaining focus and alertness.Why Join Our Team?At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico, you'll play an important role in helping young people access life-changing programs, educational opportunities, and enriching experiences. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and the youth we serve.QualificationsValid New Mexico Driver's License with the appropriate Commercial Driver's License (CDL) endorsement.Current School Bus Driver Certification or equivalent New Mexico Bus Driver Certification is required.Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical), or ability to obtain before employment.Clean driving record.Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and any additional requirements necessary to transport youth.CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends as needed.
