Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain is seeking a dedicated bus driver to transport club members and staff between schools, clubs and events. You will ensure passenger safety, complete inspections, and report any maintenance issues.

The role requires a CDL with passenger endorsement and a clean driving record, plus CPR/First Aid/AED certification. The position involves travel between multiple club facilities in North Carolina and occasional weekends or evenings to support events.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Ability to drive a bus safely and efficiently.
• Experience working with children.
• CDL w/passenger endorsement and clean driving record.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports club members following bus safety rules and seats belts.
• Maintains discipline on minibuses/buses for passenger safety.
• Complete daily Pre/Post Inspection forms.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisor.
• Maintain Daily Attendance Checklists for transported members.
• Follow all emergency procedures.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and fueling as needed.
• Verify all members are accounted for during trips and field trips.
• Prepare reports as needed and document driving incidents.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and support events, including some weekends/evenings.
