Job summary

Brigade Boys & Girls Club is seeking a part-time, hourly CDL Bus Driver to transport Club members safely to and from designated locations. The role reports to the Fleet Coordinator and requires a Class B CDL with a passenger endorsement, background check, and drug screening.

Candidates must be 25+ and have a clean driving record. Responsibilities include interactions with school staff and the public, daily safety checks, and maintaining bus cleanliness and security.

Qualifications

• Clear/clean Class B Commercial Driver's License with a passenger endorsement.
• Criminal Records background check.
• Drug Screen.
• Must be at least 25 years old with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Interact with school staff, parents, and members of the public in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Ensure safe passage of Club members to and from designated locations.
• Ensure that the BGCSENC bus is in good operating conditions at all times, pick up & drop off Club members as per the schedule, maintain order and security on the bus & obey all laws, regulations and rules of conduct.
• Operate the bus in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, state, city and applicable driving laws/regulation.
• Perform daily safety & maintenance checks.
• Report any and all damage, needed repair via BBGC Repair Form. Advise supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.
• Clean the bus as scheduled and/or required.
• Ensure the bus is safely and securely stored.

Position Description

Title: CDL Bus Driver-

Status: Hourly- Non-exempt Part Time position (Up to 20 hours per week)

Reports to: Fleet Coordinator

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Bus Driver is responsible for safely operating the bus, transporting Club members in a professional and responsible way, and represents self as a positive, caring, respectful role model for Club members and the general public.

KEY ROLES

• Interact with school staff, parents, and members of the public in a courteous and respectful manner
• Ensure safe passage of Club members to and from designated locations
