Job summary

Ozark Center in Joplin, MO seeks a Residential Psych Tech (RPT) to support children/residents on the cottage-based treatment team. You will provide day-to-day care, supervision, and help implement individualized treatment plans.

This role focuses on trauma-informed care, behavior management, teamwork with staff, and participation in daily routines, education/vocation needs, and sleep/ hygiene in a structured residential setting.

Qualifications

• Familiar with behavioral management techniques and general behavior modification principles.
• Ability to work with youth and consistently apply behavioral principles in residential settings.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime and shift changes.

Responsibilities

• Chart all pertinent observations on residents on a continuing basis.
• Supervise and assist residents in wake-up, meals, recreation, counseling, education/vocation needs, daily routine and hygiene, house rules and sleep.
• Work as a team member with other staff to implement program plans and provide direct behavior observations.
