Job summary

Ozark Center in Joplin, MO seeks a Residential Psych Tech (RPT) to support children/residents on the cottage-based treatment team. You will provide day-to-day care, supervision, and help implement individualized treatment plans.

This role focuses on trauma-informed care, behavior management, teamwork with staff, and participation in daily routines, education/vocation needs, and sleep/ hygiene in a structured residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Chart all pertinent observations on residents on a continuing basis.

• Work as a team member with other staff to implement program plans and provide direct behavior observations.

Job Description Summary:Residential Psych Tech (RPT) is a staff level employee who is a member of the cottage based treatment team and is responsible for providing day-to-day care and supervision of the children/residents and assists in the implementation of the individualized treatment plan of each resident as prescribed. RPT provides services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance abuse and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often times have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. RPT demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. RPT will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received.
