The Medical University of South Carolina Health is seeking a Therapeutic Assistant for the Youth EmPath Unit. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to support patient care per the treatment plan and help with admissions and daily living activities.

You will contribute to maintaining a safe therapeutic environment and assist in coordinating activities for youth in crisis, with shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Therapeutic Assistant I requires a HS diploma or equivalent.
• Therapeutic Assistant II requires a Bachelor's or 1 year BH/healthcare experience.
• BLS certification required within 2 weeks of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care under the multidisciplinary treatment plan.
• Assist with patient admission and discharge processes.
• Monitor and promote safety of the therapeutic environment.
• Support patients' activities of daily living and routine tasks.
