Side By Side offers a Community Counseling role delivering individual therapy to youth ages 5-26 in-office, school, and virtual settings. The counselor applies diverse clinical approaches to reduce symptoms and supports families through collaborative care.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s in social work or counseling psychology, CA BBS eligibility, and are willing to engage in bilingual service delivery. A valid driver’s license and car are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in social work or counseling psychology; eligible/registered with CA BBS.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance and TB screening and other state/federal requirements.
• Must possess a dependable car, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.
• Insurable by SBS’s automobile policy.

Responsabilités

• Direct one-to-one services.
• Implement behavioral/treatment plans using strengths-based interventions.
• Develop and teach youths'/caregivers' coping tools and skills.
• Engage with caregivers and family network to support treatment.
• Complete thorough assessments and functional analyses of behaviors/symptoms.
• Develop transition plans toward independence for youth.
• Attend weekly supervision and trainings; participate in community outreach.
