Job summary

SAMU First Response is seeking a Clinical Coordinator to supervise program staff and deliver direct behavioral health services to youth at the Washington, DC Drop-In Centers. The role ensures trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate care and collaboration with partner agencies.

The ideal candidate brings a Master’s in a behavioral health field, DC licensure, 5+ years of experience with 3+ in supervision, and strong leadership, communication, and crisis management skills for multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field.
• Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Psychologist in DC.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years supervisory.
• Experience delivering trauma-informed, culturally competent services to youth.
• Strong knowledge of youth homelessness and housing instability.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and provide supervision.
• Experience with group facilitation, crisis management, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision to program staff and direct behavioral health services.
• Lead bi-weekly clinical supervision meetings with case management staff.
• Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups for DIC clients.
• Deliver individualized therapeutic interventions with trauma-informed approaches.
• Collaborate with Core Service Agencies for timely mental health and medication management.
• Monitor quality of services and ensure compliance with standards and funder requirements.
• Develop and implement behavioral health policies and service models.
• Provide crisis intervention and support in complex client situations.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in case reviews.
• Ensure integration of behavioral health in the broader supportive framework.
