Job summary

By the Hand Club For Kids is seeking a Behavior Specialist to lead direct care for a cohort of students, promoting behavioral, social-emotional, and spiritual development. You will implement individualized plans, coach behavior, monitor progress, and collaborate with families, schools, and staff to help students reach Target Behavior goals.

The role emphasizes compassionate leadership, in-person engagement, and adherence to PBIS and trauma-informed practices, with supervision and ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field.
• 2+ years working with youth in educational, behavioral health, or youth development settings.
• Current RBT certification preferred or willingness to obtain within timeframe.
• Experience using Google Workspace and electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide direct care to promote behavioral, social-emotional, and spiritual development.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention strategies and monitor progress.
• Provide behavioral coaching and support to students and families.
• Collaborate with schools, families and staff to ensure consistent behavior support.
• Maintain behavior documentation and incident reports with timely submissions.
• Use evidence-based strategies to improve engagement and self-regulation.
• Engage in supervision, coaching and professional development related to ABA and trauma-informed care.
• Maintain a safe, structured in-person environment and respond to crises using de-escalation.
• Foster relationships with parents/guardians and teachers for student success.
