Job summary

AMIkids is seeking a Youth Care Specialist to supervise and guide youth, teaching social, self-help, academic, and living skills. The role emphasizes safety, positive role-modeling, and proactive behavior management across day and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities include incident reporting, shift documentation, and implementing AMIkids’ growth model while maintaining a supportive, structured environment. Prior experience with youth services is preferred; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year related experience within an educational or youth service program.
• Preferably worked with troubled youth.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of all youth.
• Serve as advisor and positive role model for youth.
• Prevent and intervene in youth altercations and incidents.
• Provide redirection and coaching using the Behavior Modification System.
• Coach youth on personal responsibility, social skills, and community living.
