The Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy seeks a Baseball/Softball Coordinator to design and implement programs and curricula, lead field instruction, and mentor Scholar Athletes. Qualifications

• Experience with youth development and mentoring.
• Ability to mediate and use restorative practices with Scholar Athletes.
• Strong planning and leadership skills for on-field instruction and practices.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily planning meetings and participate in professional development.
• Plan and lead practices and teambuilding activities; conduct athletic assessments.
• Provide support during mentoring time, enrichment, mealtime and field trips.
• Oversee equipment, supplies, and transitions between classrooms and fields.
• Build relationships with Scholar Athletes to support positive youth development.
• Manage volunteers/coaches involved in on-field instruction or mentoring.
