Job summary

City of New York, Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) offers a Youth Apprentice program for current high school students. Qualifications

• Employment is restricted to students enrolled in and attending high school.
• Continuation as a high school student is required.
• Fulfillment of all minimum age requirements for NYS DOL Registered Apprenticeships.

Responsibilities

• Shadow DAP staff and learn about discretionary award processes and contract development.
• Assist with outreach to contracted providers and maintain contact information in systems.
• Collect and analyze data and prepare summary reports on project progress.
• Represent DYCD as a liaison on inter-unit and special projects.
