Job summary

Catholic Charities Community Services is looking for a part-time Youth Worker in New York City responsible for conducting needs assessments, developing goals for youth, and coordinating participant recruitment and retention activities. The role requires at least a High School Diploma, 2 years of youth experience, and excellent social skills. Salary ranges from $18 to $19 per hour. Working hours include evenings and some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Minimum a High School Diploma/GED; or working towards an AA or BA degree preferred.
• 2 years Youth Worker experience is required.
• Experience facilitating workshops and providing one-on-one peer mediation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial needs assessment and orientation of new participants.
• Create short- and long-term goals for participants based on their needs.
• Monitor participant attendance and conduct outreach to support retention.
