Badlands Behavioral Health Clinic in Dickinson is seeking a Youth and Family Case Manager to serve youth and their families in community settings. You will conduct assessments, develop and implement service plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure access to needed services and crisis support.

This role requires travel to clients’ homes and communities, with some evening work. A valid driver’s license is needed and you will work within ND HHS guidelines to promote recovery

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree required.
  • At least five years of paid supervised experience working with youth and their families with SMI/SED in case management functions.

Job description

Badlands Behavioral Health Clinic is seeking a Youth and Family Case Manager in the Dickinson area.

Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.


As a Case Manager, you will provide youth and their families with opportunities to manage their own recovery so they can live and work independently in their community.


With the support of an interdisciplinary team, you will conduct comprehensive needs assessments, complete, and implement service plans, as well as leverage contacts and referral partners to ensure access to needed services. Case managers also assist with crisis response.


Case Management services are community based. Work will be done primarily in the individual's home and community. This position may include working some evenings.


To thrive in this position, you should be knowledgeable about resources offered in your community and prefer working with youth and their families in their home and natural environments.


Location

This position provides essential client services face to face and therefore the person in this position needs to be able to travel to meet clients at their location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • a bachelor's degree
  • a master's degree
  • have at least five years of paid supervised experience working with youth and their families with SMI/SED in a role with case management functions such as individual assessment, care plan development and maintenance, referral and appointment scheduling, monitoring and follow-up activities.

This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new hire orientation.
