Badlands Behavioral Health Clinic in the Dickinson area seeks a Skills Trainer (Behavioral Modification Specialist) to help individuals build daily living and emotional regulation skills in their homes and communities.
You will travel to clients' residences, teaching budgeting, communication, and safety skills as part of an interdisciplinary team, supporting personalized goals and independence.
As a Skills Trainer, you will assist individuals where they live to build skills so they can live a quality, independent life.
Every day, you will travel to individuals' homes and communities. There you will teach daily living and household skills, communication, and emotion regulation skills, budgeting skills, as well as health, safety, and hygiene skills. You will be part of an integrated, interdisciplinary team focused on providing the best support plan possible for each individual.
To thrive in this position, you should enjoy teaching and role modeling, be passionate about empowering others, and prefer working with clients in their home and natural environments.
This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new hire orientation.
This position provides essential client services face to face and therefore the person in this position needs to be able to travel to meet clients at their location.
