The Salvation Army's Booth Brown House shelter seeks a dedicated Youth Advocate to support youth independence, programming, and daily operations. You will spend quality time with youth, plan activities, and assist with office tasks while upholding program goals and safety standards.

Position requires a high school diploma or GED, 21+ age for licensing, and CPR/First Aid within 90 days. Weekend day/evening shifts and a 40-hour work week are included.

Qualifikationen

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Licensing requires staff to be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience in social services is preferred.
• Must pass background checks.
• Must complete CPI, CPR, and First Aid within 90 days of hire.

Aufgaben

• Maintain positive work atmosphere and professional communication with staff and clients.
• General Youth Care: greet youth, build positive relationships, orient rules, assist with resources and activities.
• Reporting and Documentation: maintain logs, complete incident reports and statistics.
• General Administration: attendance, meetings, and communication.
• Program Safety: de-escalation, policy adherence, safety plans, and crisis response.
• Property Upkeep: cleaning, inventory, and basic maintenance.
